Common questions
Is ServerUp really free?
Yes: 5 sites checked every 5 minutes, email and app alerts, SSL and domain reminders, a status page and 30 days of history. No credit card. Pro adds 50 sites, a check every minute and Telegram, Slack and Discord alerts.
How does passwordless sign-in work?
You type your email, we send you a 6-digit code and a link valid for 30 minutes. The same account works on the website and in the app.
When am I alerted?
After 2 failures in a row (adjustable on Pro), to avoid false alarms, then when the site comes back, with the outage duration. SSL certificate: 14 and 3 days before expiry. Domain name: 30 and 7 days before.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes, in one click from “My account” (Stripe portal), or in the App Store / Google Play if you paid in the app. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period; then extra sites are paused, nothing is deleted.
My site returns a 401 or a redirect on purpose. Is that an outage?
No, if you say so: set the expected HTTP code in the site’s settings. For a redirect (301, 302), the first answer is compared.
