Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 October 2026
1. Who we are
Private limited company registered in England and Wales
Registered office: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
Email: [email protected]
These terms apply to the website https://serverup.live and to the ServerUp apps for iOS and Android (together, the “service”). By using the service you accept these terms.
2. The service
ServerUp monitors websites, APIs and TCP ports: it checks them at regular intervals, records their availability and response time, watches SSL certificate and domain name expiry, publishes public status pages and badges, and alerts you (email, app notifications and, on Pro, Telegram, Slack, Discord or other webhooks) when something goes wrong. A free plan is available. ServerUp Pro is a paid subscription with higher limits and extra features, described on the pricing page.
3. Your account
- An account is needed to monitor sites. Sign-in is password-free: we email you a one-time code or link. The same account works on the website and in the apps.
- You must give a valid email address, keep access to it, and not share your account. We may suspend an account used in breach of these terms.
4. Free plan and limits
The free plan includes a limited number of monitored sites, a minimum time between checks and a limited history, shown on the pricing page and in the app. If a Pro subscription ends, sites above the free limit are paused (not deleted) and the free limits apply again. Limits also protect our servers and the sites we check; we may adjust them with reasonable notice.
5. ServerUp Pro subscriptions
- Price and billing. Pro is offered monthly or yearly. Prices are shown before you pay and include VAT where applicable.
- Where you pay. On the website, payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. In the iOS app, payment is made through the Apple App Store; in the Android app, through Google Play. Purchases made in an app store are also subject to that store’s terms.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you in advance of any price change, which applies from the next renewal; you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Free trial. If a free trial is offered, you will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. A trial is available once per account.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time: on the website in “My account” (Stripe customer portal); for app purchases, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Pro stays active until the end of the period already paid; no further payments are taken.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Pro may stay active for a short grace period while the payment is retried, then the account returns to the free plan.
- One account everywhere. Pro bought on the website or in an app applies to the same account on the website and in the apps.
6. Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union and subscribe on the website, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of your purchase without giving a reason. Because Pro starts straight away at your request, if you cancel within those 14 days we will refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the period of service already provided. To cancel, write to [email protected] or use the contact form. For purchases made in the App Store or Google Play, refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Outside these cases, payments for periods already started are not refunded, unless the law requires otherwise.
7. Acceptable use
- Only monitor addresses you are responsible for or are allowed to check. Our bot (ServerUpBot) only requests the address you give it, at the frequency you choose.
- You must not use the service to load-test, overload or attack a site or server, to probe private networks, to query the service in an automated, large-scale way, to resell it, or to send unsolicited messages through alert channels.
- Site owners can ask us to stop checking their site; we honour these requests.
8. Monitoring results and alerts
Checks are made from our servers and reflect what they could reach at the time: a site may be reachable from our servers but not for some of your visitors, or the reverse. Alerts depend on third parties (email providers, Apple, Google, Telegram, Slack, Discord) and are provided on a best-effort basis; they may occasionally be delayed or not delivered. ServerUp does not guarantee any level of availability of your sites and is not a substitute for your own monitoring of critical systems.
9. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Except where the law does not allow it, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by an outage of your own sites or by a missed or late alert, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, nor your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending the service
You can delete your account at any time in “My account” or in the app. Cancel any app store subscription in the store first. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms; if we close a paid account without such a breach, we will refund the unused part of the period.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; we will notify subscribers of material changes by email. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
