The monitoring bot

It visits the addresses our users gave it, at the frequency they chose (at most once a minute), to check that they answer. Every 6 hours it also reads the HTTPS certificate’s expiry date.

What it does not do

• It follows no links, submits no forms and logs into no accounts.
• It only reads the monitored address (1 MB at most) and keeps only the status and response time.
